WELCOME to Orcas Island, USA.

Hello from the west coast!

For 50 years I bounced to/from some amazing places in the USA (and a 9 month stint in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada). Places like Santa Barbara, CA (5 years for college and beach); Boulder, CO (my early
years (grades 2 thru 12, with lots of excursions out of state); Seattle, WA (1993-2008); Halifax (July 2010
to April 2011); Burlington, VT (Spring 2012 to Fall 2015); and a few other nice spots.

Now, in January 2016 with my 51st birthday coming up on March 2nd, I'm staying with a sister in So. Cal.
and pondering my next "Sweet Spot." (It's an island off the coast of Washington State, near Victoria B.C.)

It's ORCAS ISLAND (the gem of the SAN JUAN ISLAND archipelago)
-- it's principal town is Eastsound, located at 48.6967° N, 122.9042° W.
